Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a cloud named Shyama. She was a kind and generous cloud, always eager to bring rain to the parched lands below. Every day, Shyama would travel across the sky, searching for places where she could rain down her precious water.

One day, as Shyama was traveling over a vast expanse of land, she noticed a river flowing below. The river was called Sarayu, and it was a source of life for the people who lived in the surrounding villages. Shyama was delighted to see the river, as she knew that her rain would bring new life to the river and the land around it.

So, Shyama gathered all her strength and poured down a heavy shower of rain onto the river. The water from the rain filled the river to the brim, and the people who lived near the river rejoiced at the sight of the overflowing water. They sang and danced, thanking the cloud for her generosity.

Days went by, and Shyama continued to rain down on the river, bringing new life to the land around it. The river flowed with vigor, and the people who lived near it prospered.

But one day, Shyama noticed something strange. The river was no longer flowing as it used to. The water had turned murky, and the once-green banks of the river had turned brown. Shyama was alarmed, and she flew down to the river to investigate.

To her surprise, she found that the people who lived near the river were using it as a dumping ground for their waste. The river was now polluted, and the water that flowed through it was no longer fit for consumption.

Shyama was filled with sorrow and anger. She had worked so hard to bring life to the river and the land around it, only to see it destroyed by the actions of a few selfish people. She knew that she had to act fast to save the river and the land around it.

So, Shyama summoned all the other clouds in the sky, and together, they poured down a heavy rain onto the land around the river. The rain was so heavy that it caused a flood, and the people who lived near the river were forced to evacuate.

When the flood subsided, Shyama and the other clouds continued to rain down on the land, cleansing it of all the pollutants that had accumulated over the years. Slowly but surely, the land around the river began to recover, and the river flowed once again with the clear, clean water that it was known for.

The people who lived near the river were amazed at the transformation that had taken place. They realized the error of their ways and vowed never to pollute the river again. They thanked Shyama and the other clouds for their kindness and generosity, and promised to take care of the river and the land around it.

And so, the river Sarayu continued to flow with vigor, bringing life to the land around it. Shyama and the other clouds continued to rain down on the land, and the people who lived there prospered. The tale of the cloud and the water became a legend, passed down from generation to generation, reminding people of the importance of karma and dharma in their lives.
