Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there lived a wise old tortoise named Shelly. Shelly was known throughout the forest for her wisdom and knowledge. She had a unique ability to find the deeper meaning behind every situation.

One day, while Shelly was walking through the forest, she came across a group of animals mourning the death of a young rabbit. They were all sad and crying, unable to accept the loss of their dear friend.

Shelly approached them and asked why they were mourning for the rabbit. The animals replied, “We loved the rabbit, and it is sad to see such a young life taken away from us.”

Shelly listened patiently and then said, “While speaking learned words, you are mourning for what is not worthy of grief. Those who are wise they neither for the living nor the dead.”

The animals were confused by Shelly’s words and asked her to explain what she meant. Shelly replied, “Death is a part of life, and we all have to face it someday. Instead of mourning for the rabbit, we should celebrate the life she lived and cherish the memories we have of her. We should focus on the present moment and make the most of it.”

The animals realized the wisdom behind Shelly’s words and decided to honor the memory of the rabbit by living their lives to the fullest.

A few days later, a wildfire broke out in the forest, and all the animals were in danger. The animals started panicking and didn’t know what to do. Shelly remained calm and collected and asked them to follow her.

Shelly led the animals to a nearby river, where they were safe from the fire. The animals were amazed by Shelly’s quick thinking and leadership skills.

After the fire was put out, the animals gathered around Shelly and thanked her for saving their lives. Shelly replied, “I did what I had to do. It was my duty to protect my fellow creatures, and I am glad I was able to fulfill it.”

The animals realized that Shelly’s words about living in the present moment and fulfilling one’s duty were not just words but actions that she embodied in her life. They realized that Shelly was not just wise, but she was also a role model for them.

From that day on, the animals started looking up to Shelly and sought her guidance whenever they were in doubt. Shelly became their teacher, and she taught them about the importance of dharma and karma.

Shelly explained that dharma is the righteous path that we must follow, and karma is the consequence of our actions. She taught the animals that fulfilling one’s duty is essential to living a fulfilling life and that our actions have consequences that we must face.

The animals learned a valuable lesson from Shelly and started living their lives with more purpose and meaning. They realized that by fulfilling their duties and being helpful to others, they could make a positive impact in the world.

Shelly continued to be a wise teacher and mentor to the animals, and they all lived happily ever after, following the path of dharma and karma.

The end.
