Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there were two leaves- Tulsi and Neem, who were considered to be the most beneficial leaves in the world. Tulsi believed that it was the most important and powerful leaf, while Neem thought it was superior to all other leaves.

One day, both of them came across each other while they were getting some sunlight. They started arguing over who was better than the other.

Tulsi said, “I am the queen of herbs. I have been worshipped since ancient times for my medicinal properties. I can cure a variety of diseases, and I am used in many Ayurvedic medicines.”

Neem replied, “That might be true, but I am also known for my medicinal properties. I am used to treat various skin diseases and can even cure malaria. Moreover, my leaves are used to keep insects away.”

Tulsi scoffed, “Insects? I am considered to be a sacred plant and I am used in many religious ceremonies. I am even considered as an avatar of the goddess Lakshmi.”

Neem wasn’t impressed, “Well, I have a bitter taste and smell, which helps in warding off mosquitoes and other insects. Even Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali used me for medicinal purposes.”

The argument went on and on, and neither of them was ready to back down.

One day, a group of travelers came across them, and they heard their argument. One of the travelers, an old sage, approached them and asked what the problem was.

Tulsi and Neem told the sage about their argument, and the sage listened patiently. After hearing them out, he smiled and said, “Both of you are right in your own ways. Each one of you has unique qualities that are beneficial to mankind. Tulsi has many medicinal properties and is considered sacred. Neem, on the other hand, is bitter and has insect-repelling properties. Both of you are essential to our ecosystem and have been used for medicinal purposes since ancient times.”

Tulsi and Neem realized that they were both important in their own way and they didn’t need to fight over who was better. They apologized to each other and promised to work together in harmony, for the betterment of humanity.

From that day on, they lived happily together, sharing their space and benefits, never arguing again.

The old sage smiled and went on his way, pleased that he was able to resolve the conflict between the two leaves.

Moral of the story: Everyone has their own unique qualities and strengths, and we should learn to appreciate and respect them. We should work together in harmony and use our strengths for the betterment of society.
